The resort of LES CONTAMINES spreads along the valley towards St-Gervais and offers great views over Mont-Blanc. It is also well known for its snow reliability. The traditional unspoilt charms of this mountain village are in total contrast with classy Megeve and sporty Chamonix. You will enjoy its genuine rural feel, weekly street market and Alpine architecture.

Other activities

As part of the wider CHAMONIX/MONT-BLANC ski area (linking a total of 12 ski resorts in the Mont-Blanc region, some of which are only linked by road), LES CONTAMINES offers access to a total of 410km of slopes to suit all levels and abilities: 16 green slopes/64 blue slopes/69 red slopes/24 black slopes.

Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiers can enjoy access to 44km of trails, varying in difficulty to suit a wide range of abilities. Access payable.

Practical information

LES CONTAMINES is accessible by coach from the train station in Saint-Gervais-Le-Fayet (12km). The resort is well-equipped and offers all necessary amenities such as: a medical centre, dentists, physios, pharmacies, bars and restaurants and local shops.
